Meet Entrepreneurial Leaders Organization (ELO)
The Entrepreneurial Leaders Organization (ELO) Network is a global community dedicated to connecting, equipping, and celebrating Christian marketplace and entrepreneurial leaders. Founded in 2005 by Dr. Richard (Rick) J. Goossen, the organization provides a platform where CEOs, senior executives, and business owners can integrate their faith with their professional pursuits. By fostering a network of like-minded individuals, ELO aims to help leaders find greater meaning in their work and increase their capacity for positive impact in the world.
ELO offers a variety of high-level programs designed for professional and personal growth, most notably its annual ELO Forums and the ELO Oxford Leadership Program. The Forums are held annually in Vancouver, Winnipeg, and Toronto, and have been held occasionally in other cities such as Hong Kong and Singapore. The Forums bring together experts and practitioners to share insights on innovation and leadership. Additionally, there is an annual, one-week executive education experience called the “ELO Oxford Leadership Program.” The program provides an intensive, week-long learning experience where participants engage with world-class scholars and peers to sharpen their entrepreneurial skills within a Christian framework.
Beyond its events, the ELO Network serves as a resource hub through its Peer Advisory Groups, consulting services, and digital content. These advisory groups allow leaders from non-competing industries to meet regularly for mutual accountability and strategic coaching. Through its blog, webinars, and podcasts, the network continuously disseminates thought leadership on topics ranging from business governance to the intersection of theology and entrepreneurship, ensuring that its members remain both spiritually grounded and professionally competitive.
About the VP - Consulting
Location: Canada - Vancouver(preferred), Toronto, or Winnipeg)
The role of VP - Consulting at the Entrepreneurial Leaders Organization (ELO) is a strategic expansion position designed to bridge the gap between ELO’s vast untapped potential and its current operational limits.
1. Capitalizing on "Warm" Infrastructure
Unlike many business development roles that require grueling "cold" outreach, this position is built on a foundation of high-trust assets. With a database of 5,000 established contacts—including CEOs, high-net-worth entrepreneurs, and senior executives who already engage with ELO Forums and Oxford programs—the VP isn’t searching for a needle in a haystack. Instead, the task is one of relationship harvesting. The VP will act as the connective tissue, turning general brand affinity into specific, high-value service engagements through sophisticated account management and personal networking.
2. Scaling the Executive Search Vertical
A primary focus of this role is the expansion of ELO’s Search Services. Because ELO occupies a unique niche—finding leaders who possess both high-level professional competence and a specific commitment to Christian values—the demand for their recruitment services has outpaced their internal capacity. The VP - Consulting will be responsible for professionalizing and scaling this arm. This involves qualifying the needs of organizations seeking "values-aligned" talent and ensuring that ELO is the first call a board of directors makes when looking for a new CEO or executive.
3."Self-Starter" with Accountability
The emphasis on "minimal hands-on supervision" indicates that this is a role for a self-starter. You won't be given a daily task list; instead, you are expected to use your own methodology for lead conversion and pipeline management. While you act independently, you remain accountable to ELO for good use of your time and for getting results. You report regularly to the team and learn in the process.
4. Integration with Broader Consulting
While search services are the priority, the VP is also a brand ambassador for ELO’s broader consulting engagements. This includes Peer Advisory Groups, strategic coaching, and organizational health consulting. The role includes the development of the network’s maturity. By identifying which leaders in the 5,000-person database are ready for deeper consulting or peer-to-peer mentorship, the VP ensures that ELO’s impact on the marketplace remains sustainable and multifaceted.
