About the Worship Director
The Worship Director is responsible for leading and coordinating the music and production media ministries of Christ Church. The director ensures meaningful musical ministry and quality production for in-person gatherings. This role has a significant discipleship component and serves as a visible ministry leader within our church.

The Worship Director’s responsibilities include:
- In coordination with the Lead Pastor, direct and oversee all musical ministries at Christ Church, ensuring alignment with the church’s theological vision and seasonal liturgical rhythms.
- Plan and organize worship sets and content for music ministry in Planning Center, 3–4 weeks in advance.
- Guide rehearsals and pre-service sound checks, fostering a spirit of prayer and preparation with the team. Lead the team in pre-service communion so that they participate in the ordinance with the congregation.
- Disciple music ministry team members—musicians, vocalists, and leaders—fostering their musical expertise and spiritual development.
- Collaborate with the Production Team to expertly manage the audio, lighting, and media elements of weekly worship gatherings and seasonal ministry events.
- Manage music ministry budget, including equipment purchases and maintenance (sound systems, instruments, software).
- This role requires proven experience in a church ministry setting and a steadfast commitment to personal integrity and spiritual maturity. The ideal candidate is a reliable team member with a strong work ethic, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for growth through continuous training and development.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 5–10 years of ministry or worship leadership experience is ideal.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Worship & Discipleship Leadership: Skilled in leading congregational worship, coaching musicians, and mentoring volunteers while integrating Scripture and theological teaching into every service.
- Pastoral & Organizational Abilities: Able to shepherd the congregation, foster a collaborative volunteer culture, and plan structured, theologically grounded worship services with production oversight.
Personal Characteristics and Qualifications
- Godly & Pastoral Character: High integrity, mature, teachable, and committed to discipleship and shepherding both volunteers and the congregation.
- Musically & Theologically Competent: Plays at least one instrument, able to lead worship, coach the team, and align with Christ Church’s theological beliefs.
- Candidates must be able to provide references from disciples that have thrived under their leadership.
