Meet Liberty Christian Academy

Liberty Christian Academy is a private, non-denominational Christian school founded in 1983. Our mission is to provide a quality Christian education in a Christ-centered environment in order to reach students for Christ and equip them to serve God and impact the world through biblical thought and action.

The 1-12 campus is centrally located off of I-70 and SR 310 in Pataskala, Ohio. Our campus sits on seventy-five point three acres of land and has an enrollment of approximately 620 students. Additionally, we have two Early Education campuses, in Pataskala and Pickerington.


About the Director of Intervention Services

The Director of Intervention Services is responsible for the coordination and oversight of intervention services. This individual will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing services, policies, and programs to support students with disabilities.

The Director of Intervention Services’s responsibilities include:

Spiritual Leadership

  • Have a conviction that God has called him/her to Christian school teaching 
  • Reflect the purpose of the school, which is to honor Christ in every class and in every activity 
  • Maintain high standards of ethics, honesty, and integrity in all personal and professional matters 
  • Work with the administration and staff to address the spiritual formation needs of students/staff 
  • Follow the Matthew 18 principle in dealing with conflict

Administrative Leadership

  • Seek to accomplish the goals and objectives assigned by school administration
  • Develop and implement program policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with community partners to enhance program effectiveness and promote positive outcomes for individuals served

Professional Responsibilities

  • Develop a plan and process for identification of and service to students in need of intervention
  • Oversee and ensure compliance with the Jon Peterson Special Needs scholarship program
  • Coordinate services with public school district representatives
  • Attend all evaluation meetings
  • Guide parents through the intervention process
  • Assist faculty with the development of all student service plans
  • Partner with faculty to provide resources and training as needed to properly implement services
  • Coordinate entrance assessments to prospective students to determine needs if applicable
  • Meet on a regular basis with the rest of staff to ensure coordination of programs and prompt problem resolution 
  • Respect professional ethics that require confidentiality concerning the sharing of information about children, parents, or staff 
  • Know the procedures for dealing with emergency situations in the classroom and school
  • Takes reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities
  • Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations and feedback
  • Handles discipline of employees in accordance with school policy

Professional Qualities

  • Undergraduate or graduate degree in special education, Master’s degree with experience in the field preferred.
  • 3-5+ years administrative experience
  • Maintain or secure a valid relevant license through ODE
  • Have knowledge and understanding of federal, state and local employment laws
  • Must possess exceptional interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle difficult situations with parents, staff, and leadership
  • Commitment to abide by a strict code of confidentiality
  • Proficient level of computer literacy (specifically Google Suite).
  • Obtain a current FBI/BCI background check.
