First Baptist Church Ferguson is a lively 80-year-old congregation in the heart of Ferguson, Missouri. We are A Diverse Family of Christ Followers, Displaying the Glory of God, and Declaring the Gospel Story of the God who made us, loved us, and changed us through the gift of His Son, Jesus Christ. Our mantra is to be “a church like Heaven,” so we value diversity.

About the Associate Pastor

First Baptist Church Ferguson is looking for an Associate Pastor who will further our mission, which is to be a church like Heaven. One who will work as a team member, by helping people to become baptized believers, assisting, and equipping them to be committed disciples of Christ, and inspires them to become Christian servants and leaders in God's church and our world.

The Associate Pastor's responsibilities include:

• Assist the Senior Pastor with ministerial duties (pastoral care, preaching, etc.)
• Help reach all generations.
• Develop and Implement Discipleship Programs for all ages, assigning some tasks to other staff and volunteers.
• Oversee staff as assigned by Pastor.
• Develop the Families Ministry. 
• Establish outreach programs reaching the Ferguson community.

What you bring

The following describes many of the characteristics of the ideal candidate for the Associate Pastor:

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Master's preferred.
• 5-10 years of ministry experience.

Personal Characteristics and Qualifications

• Has a passion for evangelism.
• Music skills preferred but not a requirement.
• Preferably lives within North St. Louis County.
