Meet Christ United Jackson

At Christ United Jackson, we believe the best way to grow is to be part of a group and find community. We gather in groups to share life together, study God’s word, apply it to our lives, pray together, support each other, and find a safe place to share the joys and struggles of life. According to the Bible, you can’t grow without community. At Christ United Jackson, our ministries are completely focused on helping you find your community.

Every week, we gather to honor God through worship and a message by one of our pastors. We know that everyone worships differently, which is why we provide both modern and traditional service options and offer a livestream.

If you're new to Christ United Jackson or are considering joining us for a service, we hope you'll find a place where you will be warmly welcomed and accepted. You matter to God—and you matter to us, too! Whether you are a long-time Christian or a seeker who is just beginning to ask questions about Christ, you are welcome here!

What it's like to live in Jackson, MS

Jackson is the state capital and largest city in Mississippi. Its slogan, “City with Soul,” embodies Jackson’s rich history while paving the way for its prosperous future. Jackson takes pride in its southern culture and traditions, with food being at the top of the list. There are dozens of restaurants throughout the city that vary from casual, outdoor dining at Aplos or Keifers, to the fine dining of Elvie’s and Walker’s Drive-In, which have each been featured in numerous national publications.

Jackson is a true hub city, located just two and a half hours from Memphis, which is to the north, and New Orleans to the south, and it is six hours from Dallas to the west and Atlanta to the east. Jackson appeals to families and young professionals alike with affordable cost of living, short commute times, blooming neighboring cities, and easy access to some of the south’s most exciting destinations.

The state has a deep music and literary history. As the birthplace of BB King, Elvis, and the blues, the only Grammy Museum outside of Los Angeles is located in the Mississippi Delta city of Cleveland - a couple of hours up the road from Jackson. William Faulkner, Eudora Welty, Richard Wright, and Willie Morris each called Mississippi home, and to celebrate that literary tradition, the Mississippi Book Festival started its annual Literary Lawn Party at the State Capitol Building in 2015 with more than 3,700 attendees.

The city’s re-urbanization has created new pockets of development both downtown and in the nearby neighborhoods of Fondren, Belhaven, and LeFleur East. Fondren is a young and artsy neighborhood and Belhaven is a quaint and historic neighborhood, which is considered to be one of the most architecturally diverse neighborhoods in the US. Finally, LeFleur East in northeast Jackson is home to Highland Village, a high-end shopping center, and “The District,” a mixed-use hub for work, living, and entertainment. Both have an array of wonderful restaurants, which include indoor and outdoor dining.

Jackson is home to several nationally-recognized companies such as Bomgar, which was recently named by Inc. as one of the fasted growing private companies in America for the eighth consecutive year, CSpire, which is the largest privately-held wireless communications provider in the nation, and EdgeTheory, which is a cutting edge conversation media company with clients that range from Neiman Marcus to the Mayo Clinic. Moreover, the city hosts two business incubators, Mantle in Fondren and Coalesce downtown, to foster the next generation of Mississippi business leaders.

In short, Jackson’s many unique and diverse qualities
