Movement Church exists to raise up a movement of people who live their lives surrendered to God, in pursuit of his presence, while reaching those who are far from God wherever they go. Through creativity, communications, music, arts, and media, Movement Church strives to communicate the gospel in relevant ways that help people understand the truths of the Bible in 2026. Located in a town of just over 45,000 people Movement church has moved from a small town church to a community church that has as positive reputation in the community. Over the past 13 years, the church has hosted just over 1600 first-time guests and has seen over 1000 salvations. About the Director of Experience and Marketing


The Director of Experience & Marketing is a senior leadership role responsible for shaping, leading, and executing all church experiences, production, media, and communications at Movement Church. This role exists to translate vision into clear systems, healthy teams, and Spirit-led environments that help people encounter Jesus in meaningful ways, both in person and online. Partnering closely with the Lead Pastor, this position provides strategic oversight while building strong volunteer cultures, sustainable systems, and consistent excellence across worship experiences and church communications.



The Director of Experience and Marketing's responsibilities include:


Experience, Media & Technology Leadership


  • Lead all audio, lighting, video, broadcast, and production environments for in-person and online church experiences.
  • Build scalable systems, workflows, and volunteer training pathways.
  • Oversee online church as a true digital campus.
  • Ensure reliability, excellence, and continuous improvement across all technical systems.
  • Guide long-term media and technology planning and sustainability.
  • Create, shoot, and oversee the production of high-quality video content for services, digital platforms, and special initiatives.


Content, Marketing, & Communications


  • Provide strategic oversight of all church communications and branding.
  • Ensure website, digital platforms, and campaigns remain current and missionally aligned.
  • Lead creative content development across video, worship initiatives, and special projects.
  • Use engagement data to strengthen communication effectiveness and reach.


Leadership, Culture, and Development


  • Build healthy, unified, Spirit-filled volunteer and staff cultures.
  • Recruit, train, mentor, and develop leaders across Experience and Marketing teams.
  • Cast vision, celebrate wins, and reinforce Movement Church values.


Strategy, Administration, & Alignment


  • Partner in strategic planning and execution of church-wide priorities.
  • Support budget stewardship and operational systems.
  • Strengthen cross-department collaboration.
  • Contribute to organizational health and sustainability.


Pastoral & Spiritual Leadership


  • Provide prayer, encouragement, and spiritual care to teams.
  • Model Christ-centred leadership and servant-hearted culture.
  • Support pastoral ministry moments as needed.

Education and Experience


  • 5+ years of leadership experience in a life-giving church or ministry setting.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, build systems, and execute excellent church experiences.
  • Strong relational, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Experience with worship, production, media, and digital platforms.
  • A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, creative environment.
  • Strategic thinker with a heart for people and the local church.
