INDEPENDENT CHRISTIAN CHURCH

WEEKLY ATTENDANCE: 4,500

Meet Pantano Christian Church

What we believe drives what we do, and the things we value make us who we are. Our values are the heartbeat of Pantano. Every week you’ll hear a practical message from our teaching team, and have the opportunity to engage in authentic worship with our band.

We are all broken, incomplete people in need of God’s grace. We meet people where they are and generously give away the grace we’ve freely received.

We’re guided by our simple mission… Loving people to Jesus and launching passionate difference makers. #thisispantano

About the Kids Pastor

Pantano Christian Church is seeking a visionary and motivated Kids Pastor who embodies the mission of "loving people to Jesus and launching passionate difference makers". The ideal candidate is a self-starter and a "Yes First" person with high emotional intelligence and a proven track record of loyalty and leadership. Rather than simply being a "doer" of tasks, this individual must be a builder of leaders who can recruit, mobilize, and fill the "cups" of volunteers—known as Difference Makers—to ensure the ministry is well-organized and thriving. A crucial aspect of this role is the ability to partner with and invest in parents, helping to create a family-generation ministry that teaches and supports parents as they lead their children.

The successful candidate should possess experience in a fast-paced ministry, preferably within a church of a similar size (running 400 or more kids). This leader must have a strong stage presence to lead "Kids Live" services and the assertiveness to advocate for necessary resources while managing a multi-staff team. We are looking for an unapologetic grace-giver who fits into a non-legalistic, egalitarian culture and is ready to drive the ministry toward a growth goal of 700+ kids. Beyond administrative skills, the pastor must have a heart for children and the "fresh eyes" needed to update the ministry’s environment and experience to make it an unforgettable celebration for every family

The Kids Pastor's responsibilities include:

  • Lead the Kids Ministry.
  • Implement and participate in the execution of the weekly services for all kids, ensuring that the volunteers, curriculum, programming, and all environments are of the highest quality.
  • Provide vision and collaboration with the team to make “Kids Live” (large gatherings for kids) exciting, engaging, and transforming.
  • Implement innovative processes to keep the Kids Ministry up to date with relevant practices.
  • Recruit, develop, and support the Kids Ministry Difference Makers (volunteers).
  • Communicate vision, mission, and strategies to the team, Difference Makers, children, and parents.
  • Work with teams to plan, implement, and oversee all special events and programs that run throughout Kids Ministry. Examples include but are not limited to: summer activities and camps, school year special events, Good News Clubs, baby dedication celebrations, appreciation events, volunteer training, etc.
  • Collaborate with the Students Ministry to ensure smooth transitions between departments, minister more effectively to the entire family, and continue a healthy team atmosphere.
  • Develop a discipleship process appropriate for children up to 5th grade.
  • Oversee the Kids Ministry budget, with guidance from the ThisGen Pastor.
  • Provide oversight and coaching for each team member and opportunities for leadership development.
  • Attend weekly 1:1, team, and staff meetings.
  • Adhere to all church policies and procedures and ensure that volunteers and staff comply with all policies and guidelines for ministry.
  • SPOD duties: will join other staff pastors in rotation to be the pastor on call during business hours and for week-long, 24-hour-per-day shifts.
  • Work assigned duties during “All Hands On Deck” events, such as Christmas and Easter services.
  • Other duties as assigned.
