Riverside Christian School has a history dating back to 1982 when it was founded by parents as Shema Christian School. The school went through several name changes and relocations as enrollment grew and, most significantly, after the 1997 flood devastated its original church sites, which was located in Grace Baptist Church. It was formally renamed Riverside Christian School in 2002 after relocating to the Valley Elementary building in East Grand Forks. More recently, the school expanded its offerings, opening Riverside Christian High School in August 2020. RCS aims to provide the finest academic programs and co-curricular activities, emphasizing a family atmosphere, small class sizes, and strong academics, consistently putting God first in their classrooms.
