WEEKLY ATTENDANCE: 240

Meet Christ Church Vienna
Christ Church Vienna was founded in 2011 out of The Falls Church Anglican after Pastor Johnny Kurcina felt called to plant a new church in Vienna, VA – a vision he had been praying about since 2003. Rooted in the Anglican tradition, the church is part of the Diocese of the Mid-Atlantic and the Anglican Church in North America, maintaining close ties with The Falls Church Anglican and other Anglican churches. The community is centered on being an externally focused, gospel-driven church family, welcoming people of all ages and stages of life. Christ Church Vienna gathers for worship each Sunday at 10:00 AM in the Madison High School Auditorium.

What it’s like to live in Vienna, VA
Vienna is a charming, semi-urban, and aesthetically-pleasing suburb located in one of the more established suburbs of Washington D.C., about 10+ miles East, providing access to major city amenities like professional sports, concerts, Michelin-starred restaurants, and historical sites. It is described as a highly educated, dynamic, and wealthy community that is very child, family, and community-centered. Despite being transient, like many urban areas, Vienna has maintained a small-town feel with town-wide events and festivals, such as closing the main street for the High School homecoming parade. Many people move to Vienna seeking a sense of community and to raise families, drawn by its excellent schools and support for children (sports, coaching, safety). A larger percentage of individuals who grew up in Vienna return to raise their own families there compared to other parts of Northern Virginia. The community members are highly driven and successful, and the “idols of success, money, performance” are evident, as are the “idol of children and family”.
