About the Ministries Director

We are looking to hire a Ministries Director to oversee our ministry staff. This individual will uphold and build a cohesive vision of discipleship for the children, youth, and adults of our church community. A person experienced and skilled in managing staff, casting vision, and building systems will thrive in this role. Renovation Church is a Bible-believing church and is affiliated with Converge.



The Ministries Director's responsibilities include:

  • Provide strategic oversight and vision to Children’s, Youth, and Adult Ministry staff; creating an arch of discipleship from birth – adulthood.
  • Meet regularly with the Children’s, Youth, and Adult Ministries staff (currently, but not limited to; Children’s Pastor, Middle School Pastor, High School Pastor, Pastor of House Churches, Counseling Pastor, Missions Pastor), developing each in their specific roles and holding them accountable to tasks.
  • Visit all ministries under your care regularly to provide feedback for improvement.
  • Partner Ministry Staff with the Creative Team to provide excellent communication materials to the broader church.

Education and Experience

  • Highest Level Required: A Bachelor's degree is required for this role.
  • Seminary or Post-Graduate Degrees: Formal seminary training or a master's degree is not required.
  • 10+ Years of Full-Time Vocational Ministry.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Must be a reliable self-starter, delegator, natural leader, and team player.
  • Ability to see refinements needed and activate changes.
  • Has a passion and knowledge of effective discipleship formats.
  • Has a strong ability to organize and follow through with ongoing tasks.
  • Visionary-minded, extensive experience in leading others.
  • Preferred Experience: Several years in a management role.
  • Preferred Experience: Several years in leading a church ministry.

  • Personal, growing, and mature relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • Demonstrates consistency and is of strong character.
  • Demonstrates a humble and teachable attitude.
  • Responsible and reliable in work and life.
  • Agrees with our Statement of Faith and has a strong respect for the Word of God.
