Since 2007, Trinity’s mission has been to make disciples who exalt Jesus Christ and honor God's Word in everything they say and do. Our four-part strategy invites people to COME to Christ, to GROW in their faith, to SERVE Him by serving others, and REACH those outside the church with the good news of Jesus. We are committed to the pursuit of building multi-ethnic, multi-generational congregations that reflect the communities around us and pursue unity in Christ. Trinity Church is one church with six locations across the globe.

About the Oceanfront Campus Pastor

The Oceanfront Campus Pastor is responsible for leadership and pastoral care at the Oceanfront campus of Trinity Church. The Oceanfront Campus Pastor also works with the church staff and the Elders to carry out the mission and ministry of Trinity Church as a whole, as well as stewarding that ministry in a given community.

The Oceanfront Campus Pastor's responsibilities include:

Campus Leadership

• Oversight of campus staff.
• Work with directors to equip and develop ministry staff as they execute campus ministry.
• Meet weekly with campus staff to provide communication, encouragement, and counsel.
• Train staff to be Ephesians 4:11–16 equippers of servant leaders within their ministry areas.

Campus Operations

• Administrative oversight for the Oceanfront campus.
• Coordinate with the central office administrative staff.
• Campus facilities and budget oversight.

Training & Leader Development

•  Work with the Leadership Team and Elders to provide vision and leadership at the Oceanfront campus.
• Provide ongoing training and equipment for Community Group Leaders.
•  Encourage servant ministry and look for emerging leaders in all ministry areas.
•  Lead efforts to establish a relevant, powerful outreach ministry in the Oceanfront area.
•  Lead and teach Discover Trinity (membership class) and facilitate Lead3D courses (leader development).

Teaching/Preaching

• Preach once or twice a month at the Oceanfront Campus.
• Be available to teach/preach in other services or church-wide events as needed.
• Lead weekly worship services, serving as MC when not preaching.
• Participate in sermon series planning and preparation with the pastoral team.
• Oversee other teaching ministries at Oceanfront campus, such as adult Bible study.

Pastoral Care

• Minister to the spiritual needs of the Oceanfront Campus congregation.
• Be available for pastoral counseling, pre-marital counseling, weddings, and funerals.
• Lead discipleship and spiritual transformation efforts at the Oceanfront campus. This may include curriculum development for Community Groups, discipling individual leaders or groups of leaders, or other bible study opportunities for the campus.

What you bring

The following describes many of the characteristics of the ideal candidate for the (Position):

Education and Experience

• Master’s degree preferred.
• 10 years of ministry experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Ability to lead, encourage, and shepherd others.
• Pastoral Ministry degree and/or experience.
• Demonstrate a mature Christian walk.
• Gifted in pastoring, teaching as well as administration.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to cultivate and develop community.

Personal Characteristics and Qualifications

• Demonstrates an ongoing commitment to spiritual growth and development.
• Maintain a consistent commitment to prayer and Scripture.
• Maintain a strong marriage/family (if applicable).

Expectations

• Defend the doctrinal positions of Trinity Church.
•  Support the leadership and decisions of the Elder Board, including decisions made for the Oceanfront campus.
• Maintain regular office hours.
• Attend weekly staff meetings.
• Actively participate in Trinity Church by becoming a member within the first 90 days, leading or joining a community group, and being involved in the church-wide life of Trinity Church.
