Meet Edgewood Baptist Church
Edgewood Baptist Church is committed to living on mission by glorifying God and making disciples of Jesus in our families, among our neighbors, and among the nations.
We take God's command to gather seriously. If you see us over the weekends, you’ll see a group of people gathering to sing praises and hear God’s Word together. We also take our faith seriously in that we want to grow. We believe growth happens best in groups. We are also all about giving. We want to give back with the abilities, talents, and resources that God has given to us. We want to go with the gospel to those near and far who do not know Him.
Wherever you are in your spiritual journey, we’d love to meet you and invite you into what God is doing at Edgewood.

What it's like to live in Quad Cities
The Quad Cities is home to about 400,000 people, with multiple colleges, community colleges, and trade schools. Just one mile from Edgewood is Augustana College, a nationally recognized liberal arts school with more than 2,500 students. Nearly 20% of those students are international, representing over 500 students from around the world. This is a remarkable gospel opportunity literally in our backyard.
In addition to Augustana, our region includes St. Ambrose University, several community colleges, and multiple trade schools, creating a rich and diverse young adult population. Many of these students and working professionals are searching for meaning, belonging, and truth.
While the Quad Cities is a great place to live, it’s also a mission field. According to George Barna, our community ranks as the 27th most unchurched area in the entire United States, and second in the Midwest. That reality gives urgency to everything we do.
The Quad Cities, made up of Davenport and Bettendorf in Iowa, along with Rock Island and Moline in Illinois, sit along the banks of the Mississippi River and offer a blend of riverfront beauty and Midwestern warmth. With a metro population nearing 400,000, the area provides the amenities of a larger city while maintaining an approachable, community-centered feel.
Life here moves at a healthy pace. Mornings often begin with coffee overlooking the river, and evenings include youth sports, local festivals, or a walk along the Mississippi River Trail. Affordable living, strong schools, welcoming neighborhoods, and a stable economy anchored by employers like John Deere make it possible to build a meaningful life. The Quad Cities is a place where roots grow deep, relationships matter, and the opportunity for lasting Gospel impact is significant.
