About the Associate Pastor of Worship and Youth

First Baptist Church Aberdeen is searching for an Associate Pastor of Worship and Youth! If you have a heart for the Lord, His people, and the ability to lead worship and teach, this might be the position for you. We are a church with a rich history and a bright future. Theologically, we major in the majors and minor in the minors. Lead Pastor Mike Guzman’s vision for growth heavily involves the use of worship as a means to direct the congregation into a deeper relationship with the Lord and to disciple the next generation to follow Christ. Our church’s mission statement is “Helping people find and follow Jesus,” and we believe the right person, in this position, will help unlock our potential to do so!

Our ideal candidate, first and foremost, is one who has a fervent relationship with Jesus Christ. You will need to be aligned with our church’s statement of faith (link found below). You will need to have the ability and know-how to work within a team built on trust. You will need to be a responsible individual who can work under minimal supervision. You will need the ability to work with volunteer musicians and youth workers. You will need to know how to cultivate worship services that engage the congregation and the ability to teach youth lessons that are in alignment with the Great Commission. We want a leader who is in tune with the guidance of the Holy Spirit to help foster a culture of worship in song, but also by the way our members live their lives.

As we grow, we expect your position and influence to grow as well. We are looking to create an excellent Sunday morning and evening service to draw the community in and keep the community coming back throughout the week. We hope that the person we hire will be with us for the long haul and grow with us. Here, you will have the opportunity to grow in your calling as a pastor and leave a lasting impact on this church, God’s kingdom, and all for the glory of God.
